Despite his disorder Raju falls in love with Tanvi (Amyra). Raju (Raj Tarun) is a kleptomaniac i.e., an impulse to steal without his own knowledge, his father Narayana (Rajendra Prasad) sees his problem in childhood and takes him to Dr. Saima (Prudhvi Raj) who has pledged to cure it by inventing a new medicine, but is unsuccessful. That said, their antagonism is treated fairly well.As for Amyra Dastur's character, she would have evoked a range of emotions had there been a screenplay that eschewed low-hanging fruits. Raju Gadu is heavily inspired by the success of films like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Mahanubhavudu. Raju sets on his path to impress Tanvi’s grandfather but in the process gets in all sorts of a mess created by Anji(Rao Ramesh). 'Raju Gadu' doesn't boast of originality.
